Description
This paper aims to present about the vital role of education and training to achieve the energy efficiency measures in the Myanmar Maritime industry by four parts.
Part I describes an overview of the current International demands to save energy to establish green marine environment for example, emission controlling from ship for air contamination. In order to meet the demands, EEDI, SEEMP and EEOI are required effective technology of energy efficiency management ship design and operation.
Part II analyses the situation of Myanmar, including both advantages and disadvantages of implementing energy efficiency measures in the country. Although geographical features and plentiful natural resources are strength points, Myanmar still has many challenges of using Energy Efficient measures. However this paper argues that the most important element for the implementation of energy efficiency measures is to upgrade human resources.
For the education and training needs, Part III presents collected data about how the training institutes in Myanmar are dealing with the implementations of energy efficiency management plans. By evaluating the statistics data, the condition of Myanmar and future perspective to meet the target of regulatory bodies are discussed.
Finally, Part IV presents education and training options for Advanced Technology which appeared to be necessary to comply with IMO frameworks in Myanmar. The paper further refers to the best practiced for energy efficient and how Myanmar can upgrade its human resources in the sector.
